Nobody sits out over money
BUDA prices a season at what it costs ($65 for Summer Club League) and lets every player pick a lower tier, no questions asked. Donations cover the difference. That’s the whole model, and it has kept this league community-run since 1992: your $35 is the reason the $35 tier exists.

The tiers donations keep open, verbatim from the SCL 2026 registration form
- $35Partially subsidized: for those who need a small subsidy in order to participate
- $20Mostly subsidized: for those who need a substantial subsidy in order to participate
- $0Fully subsidized: for those who are unable to pay
Players already chip in too: the $80 “Help cover costs for peers/youth participants” tier is a built-in donation at registration. This page is for everyone else, and for seasons when the math needs help.
What your donation does
$35
One player's season, covered
Closes the gap between the $35 subsidized tier and the $65 a season actually costs: fields, discs, insurance, permits.
$150
A youth program's gear
A season of practice discs and a full set of cones for one town's K-8 program, so drills never wait on equipment.
$500
Field-time for beginners
About five weeks of weeknight permits on a lit field for a learning league, where brand-new players get their first reps.
Every dollar goes to programs; the league is run by volunteers.

“I love BUDA because…”
…my first season was the $0 tier and nobody ever knew. Ten years later I pay the top one.
…I joined a pickup list knowing nobody in this city. Three summers later I had a team and a couch to move with.
…the other team scores your spirit, so winning ugly doesn't count.
…my kid learned to huck before she learned long division, and her coach is a volunteer.
…I came for the learning league and stayed for the potlucks.
…at 52 I still get a league where the legs are slower but the throws got smarter.
…nobody has ever asked me which tier I picked.
